At Hope Center Houston, we believe that having clean, sturdy clothing is the first step toward restoring dignity and self-respect. Your gently used or new garments not only protect against the elements but also send a message: “You matter.”
Hope Center accepts clothing donations anytime we are open, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

How to Donate Clothing
To make your donation as useful as possible, please follow these simple steps:
-
Clean & Inspect
Wash all items so they’re fresh and ready to wear.
Check for rips, stains, broken zippers, or missing buttons—repair or remove items with significant damage.
-
Organize & Pack
Group similar items together (e.g., men’s socks, women’s jackets).
Pair shoes and secure them together (use rubber bands or tie laces).
Pack everything in sturdy boxes or sealed bags to protect items in transit.
-
Label Contents
Clearly mark each box or bag (e.g., “Women’s Winter Coats,” “Men’s Socks & Underwear”).
This helps our volunteers sort donations quickly.
-
Remove Personal Items
Double-check pockets and remove any personal documents or cash before packing.
